They're down to $17k now in pretty good condition. The problem is they are so easy and fun to mod; they get a LOT more expensive. I dig the new c7z and I may just follow the 10 year rule and buy one then. I have a lot more I can do with this one in the meantime.

I've been looking, but haven't seen any near $17k. I'm looking for < 30,000 miles. I saw a couple near me for around $25,000 with under 20k miles on them. The only mods I plan on (of course, nothing goes according to plan), are tires and seats. Maybe coilovers if I get serious about it, but from what I hear, the stock Z suspension is pretty well tuned. Someday possibly a supercharger, but I feel that might be overkill unless I track it a lot. What mods do you have on yours?

Yeah I found mine a few years back with 40k miles for $27k. yeah, for the low miles cars they are more expensive. Mod short list: Tea ported my heads, EPS 226@.050 cam, Fast 102 intake, ls2 tb, AR headers, vararam, Backstreet performance tuned LS6 makes 450 to the wheels. Vansteel front bar and VB 1200lb front spring spherical endlinks, Koni 3013's with Anze spherical bearing mountings, 315 tires squared on factory back wheels, 2 Kirkey road race containment seats and harnesses and custom 6 point and Sparco wheel on NRG quick release and fire supression. Shifter, driveshaft shop carbon shaft, McLeod xct clutch, quicktime bellhousing, fabbed lowered engine mounts, phadt rear trans brace, 14" Baer front brakes and oe. fronts moved to the back. Oh, and a custom Titanium knurled shift nob.

Yep, and not done yet. The car has factory interior/ac/radio etc. and sits at 3165lbs with all the safety stuff. I'm attempting to take it down to 3000 without doing anything irreversible or loosing the interior. With the Falken RT615's, it fits in the new SCCA cam class and new USCA challenges. I run the ECTA standing mile as well and have the cgt record at 178.55. Some guys have them in the 2500 range without a lot of carbon. Minitub and 335's in back would be helpful to put power down. I'm always thinking about aero mods, but like the sleeper appeal the car has. I'm collecting parts for a wicked naturally aspirated pump gas 427, but that's a bit further back on the priority list. Let me know when you get yours and I'm happy to help you with mods.
